MARK obtained a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University in 1982. He then graduated from law school at BYU in 1986, where he was managing editor for the journal of Legal Studies. He began his legal career as the prosecuting attorney for Sandy City, where he gained extensive trial experience. He then went into private practice where he developed a specialty in all types of personal injury cases. He is a member of the state and federal bar associations as well as the Utah Association for Justice, a group devoted to the service of people injured in accidents. He has previously served as a volunteer chairman of the Taylorsville City Ordinance Review Committee. He and his beautiful wife, Natalie, are the proud parents of five children, and nine wonderful grandchildren.
